The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. (Isa 35:1 KJV)
For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground . . . (Isa 44:3 KJV)

RESTORATION: Morning Manna October 8

RESTORATION

The nation of Judah was judged for failing to obey God's commands.  Jerusalem was destroyed and God allowed the people to be taken into captivity as punishment for their sins.

But the Lord does not cast off for ever: though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.  Lamentations 3:31-32 KJV

So, after their time of judgment, Nehemiah received permission from the king to go to Jerusalem and rebuild the crumbling walls.  Nehemiah 2

The king provided everything needed, but the people who now occupied the land were fiercely opposed to this rebuilding.  They resented the return and restoration of God's people so they attempted to sabotage the work.

The unity of God's people prevailed.  Through much prayer and hard labor, the walls were rebuilt.  The gates restored.

So it is today.  The walls of truth and justice have fallen but it is time to rebuild.  God will provide everything needed.  But we must pray and labor to complete the work.

And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.  Isaiah 58:12 KJV
