The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. (Isa 35:1 KJV)
For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground . . . (Isa 44:3 KJV)

A Poem - God's love for the lost

O, that You would rend the heavens and come down!

To see Your blazing eyes of love
to see Your tear stained face
to watch Your arms enfold each one,
and touch them with Your grace.

Regard the lost with tenderness;
Ignore the lost – no way!
I put before them stepping stones
I lead them in the day.
My light before, My fire at night;
My torch within will shine so bright and
lead the blind straight to the light!

The deaf will hear, the lame will walk,
and from their mouths they all will talk,
and tell of My amazing love;
My light, My heart, My zeal!
The lost and lonely wanderers
drawn in among the fields.

So let the fire and embers glow
a beacon in dark night;
Yes let the fire and embers glow
ablaze with Love's pure light.

Tabernacles 2023 : General Info

The Feasts of the LORD are divine appointments. They are opportunities to draw closer to Him, to fellowship in His presence and to enjoy the community of other believers. During these gatherings we remember the LORD and His goodness toward us. We also want Him to remember us.

There is this promise in Malachi about being written in His Book of Remembrance.

Those who feared the LORD spoke to one another. The LORD took notice and listened. So a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who feared the LORD and had high regard for His name.

They will be mine,” says the LORD of Armies, “My own possession on the day I AM preparing. I will have compassion on them as a man has compassion on his son who serves him. So you will again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him. Malachi 3:16-18 CSB

The Feast of Tabernacles is a joyous celebration - a week long reminder of God's deliverance, protection, provision, and faithfulness.

We will begin on the evening of Friday, September 29, with a time of fellowship as we share and pray together. Join us at 6 pm as we look forward to the week ahead of us.

Through the week, beginning on Saturday, we will have a potluck fellowship meal at 4 pm each day. Followed by sharing, songs and messages as we are led by the Holy Spirit.

Meal plan:

Saturday, the 30th. Main dish is roasted turkey. Please feel free to bring any side dish to add to the meal. (suggestions: vegetable, salad, potatoes, bread)

Sunday, October 1. Enchiladas and tacos. (suggestions to contribute – salsa, chips, guacamole, cheese, sour cream, beans, etc.)

Monday through Friday we will continue to share a light meal every day at 4 pm. (sandwiches, cold cuts, potato salad, coleslaw)

During the week of Tabernacles, the Israelites would eat and sleep in their temporary dwellings. It was a looking back, a reminder of their wandering through the desert for 40 years as God watched over and protected them.

As New Testament believers we see this as a time to look forward to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. We currently reside in temporary bodies of flesh, but we anticipate the change that will come at His return.

What I am saying, brothers and sisters, is this: Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor can corruption inherit incorruption.

Listen, I am telling you a mystery: We will not all fall asleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed. For this corruptible body must be clothed with incorruptibility, and this mortal body must be clothed with immortality.

When this corruptible body is clothed with incorruptibility, and this mortal body is clothed with immortality, then the saying that is written will take place: Death has been swallowed up in victory.

Where, death, is your victory? Where, death, is your sting? 1 Corinthians 15:50-55 CSB

Every year the LORD reveals a bit more of the mystery of the plan He has had for us since the beginning of creation.  During this time we are asking for a greater understanding and looking forward to His answers.

But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”  Daniel 12:4 ESV

He said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end. Many shall purify themselves and make themselves white and be refined, but the wicked shall act wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand.  Daniel 12:9-10 ESV

Then He said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures,
Luke 24:44-45 ESV

TABERNACLES 2023

The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous! Psalms 118:15 KJV

September 16, 2023, was Rosh Hashanna – the beginning of the new year on the Hebrew calendar. The trumpet was blown at the sighting of the new moon for the festival known as Yom Teruah – the Feast of Trumpets.

We are now in the midst of the Ten Days of Awe which will conclude with the Day of Atonement on September 25. It is a time of introspection and repentance.

This will be followed by the seven day festival of the Feast of Tabernacles (also known as the Feast of Booths or Sukkot). It is a time of celebration, remembering all that the LORD has done and looking forward to what is to come. There will be rejoicing as we fellowship and share, knowing that this is an appointed time that was scheduled by Our God, the Creator of the Universe.

And He desires to spend time with us!

Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, These are the appointed feasts of the LORD that you shall proclaim as holy convocations (dress rehearsals); they are my appointed feasts (appointments).” Leviticus 23:2 ESV

On Friday, September 29, we will finish setting up and enjoy an evening of Praise, Worship and Fellowship around the fire. The first day of Tabernacles this year is on Saturday, September 30.  All are welcome to join. If you would like to camp out, there is plenty of room.

Prayer and Declaration for a Move of God in Our Community

On March 26th, 2023 we will each be where the Lord has directed us to be.  At 9:45 am we will start a Zoom meeting. At 10:00 am we will pray the following prayer, declare the scriptures and play the first 3 minutes of the song The Blessing. Then we will return to our homes or wherever we plan to go and start a new Zoom meeting for bible study. Afterwards we will have a time of fellowship and a pot luck for those who are able to attend.  Please pray for a true unity of the Spirit. When we are in unity with His Spirit we will be led by His Spirit.

Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, sanctified by His blood and washed by the water of His Word. We thank you for the victory you have already accomplished. We desire to be in complete obedience to you and to be led by your Holy Spirit. As you have positioned us today to declare your word across the land we believe that it will not return to you void but will accomplish that which you please and it shall prosper in the thing whereto you sent it. Amen

As we prepare for the Passover gathering on April 8, we believe the Lord has directed us to proclain His Word over the areas He has assigned to us. He has put us where we are and has purposed us "For such a time as this."

Est 4:15 For if you remain silent at this time, liberation and rescue will arise for the Jews from another place, and you and your father’s house will perish [since you did not help when you had the chance]. And who knows whether you have attained royalty for such a time as this for this very purpose]?”

Just as Isaiah felt unfit, sometimes we feel inadequate for the Lords work, so we have to remember our sins have been purged by the blood of Jesus and we just need to be obedient.

Isa 6:5  Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

Isa 6:6  Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:

Isa 6:7  And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

Isa 6:8  Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

We believe God is preparing His army compelled by His Spirit to complete the tasks He has set before them.

Acts 20:22-24 And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there. I only know that in town after town the Holy Spirit warns me that chains and afflictions await me. But I consider my life of no value to me, if only I may finish my course and complete the ministry I have received from the Lord Jesus—the ministry of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.

So we will be the voice crying in the desert, "prepare ye the way of the Lord". And from the North, the South, the East and the West, with one voice in the unity of the spirit we will declare the the Word of the Lord.

Isa 62:10  Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.

Isa 40:3  The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

Isa 40:4  Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:

Isa 40:5  And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

We say, (Eph 5:14 37:2) Awake thou that sleepest and arise from the dead and Christ shall give thee light.

Eze 37:1  The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,

Eze 37:2  And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.

Eze 37:3  And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.

Eze 37:4  Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.

Eze 37:5  Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:

Eze 37:6  And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

Eze 37:7  So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.

Eze 37:8  And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.

Eze 37:9  Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

Eze 37:10  So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

We believe if we humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways, He will hear us and heal our land.

2Ch 7:14  If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

2Ch 7:15  Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.

We believe the greatest bessing is to know Jesus Christ  and  ...that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth and every tongue will confess (joyfully and gladly) that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Php 2:10-11

We also believe we are called to be kings and priests and as priests are to bless his people.

Rev 1:5  And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

Rev 1:6  And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?  Ecclesiastes 8:4 KJV

Num 6:22  And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Num 6:23  Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them,

Num 6:24  The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:

Num 6:25  The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:

Num 6:26  The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
