OUR GOD: Morning Manna October 31

O God, only by Your power can we push back our enemies; only in Your name can we trample our foes. I do not trust in my bow; I do not count on my sword to save me. You are the One who gives us victory over our enemies. Psalms 44:5-7 NLT

LORD, be merciful to us, for we have waited for You. Be our strong arm each day and our salvation in times of trouble. The enemy runs at the sound of Your voice. When You stand up, the nations flee!  Isaiah 33:2-3 NLT

The LORD is my strength and my song; He has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise Him—my father's God, and I will exalt Him! The LORD is a warrior; Yahweh is His name!  Exodus 15:2-3 NLT

A CHANGED LIFE: Morning Manna October 30

Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.  Romans 12:2 NLT

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.  2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus (Yashua):  Philippians 2:5 KJV

Our thoughts, actions and priorities change as we put on the mind of Christ.

THE LIGHT: Morning Manna October 29

Jesus (Yashua) spoke to the people once more and said, "I am the light of the world. If you follow Me, you won't have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life."  John 8:12 NLT

When I am raised to life again, you will know that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you.  John 14:20 NLT

"You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket.  Matthew 5:14 NLT

We are lights.  We are to bring light (hope) to a world full of darkness (despair).  We are to share the Light of the World (Yashua) that shines in us.

Don't grow dim.

OUR POSITION IN CHRIST: Morning Manna October 28

Paul's prayer: I ask God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God.

I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope He has given to those He has called.

I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe Him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms.  Ephesians 1:17-20 NLT

God raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.  Ephesians 2:6 NLT

Only believe.  We sit with Him.  We need to step out with the same authority.

Why?

If Christ be in us (Colossians 1:27) His authority flows through us.

Act on it.

TRIALS AND TESTS: Morning Manna October 27

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:  1 Peter 4:12 KJV

Don't be afraid of what you are about to suffer. The devil will throw some of you into prison to test you. You will suffer for ten days. But if you remain faithful even when facing death, I will give you the crown of life.  Revelation 2:10 NLT

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in Me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world."  John 16:33 NLT

PRECIOUS TO THE LORD: Morning Manna October 26

"If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won't he leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that didn't wander away! In the same way, it is not My heavenly Father's will that even one of these little ones should perish."  Matthew 18:12-14 NLT

O LORD, I have longed for Your rescue, and Your instructions are my delight. Let me live so I can praise You, and may Your regulations help me. I have wandered away like a lost sheep; come and find me, for I have not forgotten Your commands.  Psalms 119:174-176 NLT

Always remember, you are precious to the LORD.

RESCUED: Morning Manna October 25

The LORD reached down from heaven and rescued me; He drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemies, from those who hated me and were too strong for me.

They attacked me at a moment when I was in distress, but the LORD supported me. He led me to a place of safety; He rescued me because He delights in me. The LORD rewarded me for doing right; He restored me because of my innocence.  Psalms 18:16-20 NLT

I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.  Psalms 89:1 KJV

Thank you LORD, because You promise to never leave me or forsake me.  Hebrews 13:5

GODLINESS: Morning Manna October 24

Finally, all of you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude. Don't repay evil for evil. Don't retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and He will bless you for it.  1 Peter 3:8-9 NLT

The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and His ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns His face against those who do evil."  1 Peter 3:12 NLT

Let's keep God's eyes upon us.  Search His Word to know what is right.  Walk in agreement.

OUR PLANS OR GOD'S PLANS: Morning Manna October 23

Look here, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit."

How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it's here a little while, then it's gone.

What you ought to say is, "If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that."

Otherwise you are boasting about your own plans, and all such boasting is evil.  James 4:13-16 NLT

I will boast only in the LORD.  Psalms 34:2a NLT

And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus/Yashua, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.  Colossians 3:17 NLT

Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light."  Matthew 11:28-30 NLT

LIVE IN THE LIGHT: Morning Manna October 20

We are writing these things so that you may fully share our joy.

This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in Him at all. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth.

But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, cleanses us from all sin.

If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth.

But if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  1 John 1:4-9 NLT

"Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened."  Matthew 7:7-8 NLT

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him.  Hebrews 11:6 NLT

"I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me. I will be found by you," says the LORD."  Jeremiah 29:11-14 NLT

LOVE: Morning Manna October 18

LOVE

For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." But if you are always biting and devouring one another, watch out! Beware of destroying one another.  Galatians 5:14-15 NLT

We love each other because He loved us first. If someone says, "I love God," but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is a liar; for if we don't love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see? And He has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their Christian brothers and sisters.  1 John 4:19-21 NLT

Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered Himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.  Ephesians 5:2 NLT

Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.  1 John 4:7 NLT

ANTIDOTE FOR FEAR: Morning Manna October 17

Jesus tells us that in the end times we will witness "men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken."  Luke 21:26 KJV

When we have a right relationship with the Lord we understand that "there is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love."  1 John 4:18 KJV

Remember that "the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs."  Zephaniah 3:17 NLT

The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer.  2 Samuel 22:2 KJV

But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble. And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.  Psalms 37:37-40 KJV

They will put their trust in the LORD.  Psalms 40:1-3 NLT

RESTORATION: Morning Manna October 8

RESTORATION

The nation of Judah was judged for failing to obey God's commands.  Jerusalem was destroyed and God allowed the people to be taken into captivity as punishment for their sins.

But the Lord does not cast off for ever: though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.  Lamentations 3:31-32 KJV

So, after their time of judgment, Nehemiah received permission from the king to go to Jerusalem and rebuild the crumbling walls.  Nehemiah 2

The king provided everything needed, but the people who now occupied the land were fiercely opposed to this rebuilding.  They resented the return and restoration of God's people so they attempted to sabotage the work.

The unity of God's people prevailed.  Through much prayer and hard labor, the walls were rebuilt.  The gates restored.

So it is today.  The walls of truth and justice have fallen but it is time to rebuild.  God will provide everything needed.  But we must pray and labor to complete the work.

And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.  Isaiah 58:12 KJV

PRAYER WALK - OCTOBER 5, 2020

Early in 2019 the LORD led us to begin praying for our nation.  Praying against the sin of abortion and praying for repentance.  May of 2019 we went to the state capital in Phoenix for the first time to pray.  We then committed to going there the first Monday of every month to prayer walk around the capital grounds and to pray for our state and the nation.  When the COVID19 restrictions started we moved our focus to the local city/county complex here in Kingman, continuing to pray for our lawmakers and leaders in government.

Monday, October 5, 2020, was our 18th prayer walk.  God opened our eyes to see many things that day.

There are several examples in the book of Jeremiah where God uses an ordinary object to teach a spiritual lesson.  In Jeremiah 1:11 God says to Jeremiah, "What do you see?"  Jeremiah happened to be looking at a branch of an almond tree. Jeremiah had probably seen many almond trees before this but today was different.  God brought it to his attention and used it to reveal something to him.  In chapter 18 God tells Jeremiah to go down to the potter's house and He would show him something there.  This time God had him consider a clay pot being shaped on a potter's wheel.  Another time God used a couple of baskets of figs to to illustrate His message.  (Jeremiah 24)

God is the same yesterday, today and forever.  He still uses things in the natural world to speak to us.  That is what happened to us on Monday, October 5th.

Four of us gathered at the city complex, 310 N. 4th Avenue.  Scripture says that God orders our steps (Psalm 37:23).  As we look back we can see how His timing was perfect, as usual.

Our usual pattern was to exchange a few words and then begin walking and praying.  This time we talked, shared and prayed for 10-15 minutes before we started walking.  As we reached the first corner we saw water rushing down the street toward us.  A channel of water at least 1 1/2 feet wide was running along the curb as we stood on the sidewalk and watched.

We immediately recognized the significance of the water.  Water cleanses.  "That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word." Ephesians 5:26 KJV.  We all felt overwhelming joy as we pictured the release of a cleansing flood in response to our prayers.  We experienced chills and goose bumps at the thought.  We linked arms and danced.  Anyone watching would have wondered what had gotten into us.  We thought of the second chapter of Acts when the disciples received the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.  They were accused of being under the influence of new wine.  We were not under the influence of literal wine, but we were experiencing a move of the Spirit and we all felt it.

When we reached the next corner we saw the source of the water.  A freshly washed, shiny red fire truck at the local fire station.

We continued walking, praying and praising.  As we came around the back side of one of the buildings we saw a pair of shoes on the sidewalk.  They were blue.  A heavenly color signifying a holy walk.  A few steps further on, in the dirt, we saw another pair of shoes.  These were black, worn out and covered with dirt.  Black, signifying death.

The words we heard where, "For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality."  1 Corinthians 15:53 KJV

Those words were even more profound as we realized that we are in the midst of the Feast of Tabernacles which is the feast that symbolizes the glorification of the saints, putting on immortality.

It was also interesting that the blue shoes were on the path (sidewalk) but the black ones were not.  They were cast aside and partially covered in dirt.  "Make me walk along the path of Your commands, for that is where my happiness is found."  Psalms 119:35 NLT

As we turned on to Spring Street, Marie was led to look up scriptures related to the word spring.  This is what she read to us:

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.  Isaiah 43:19 KJV

For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.  Isaiah 61:11 KJV

As we completed the walk, I looked at the city building where we had started our walk and the number that was boldly displayed on it was 310.  And Revelation 3:10 came to mind.

"Because you have obeyed My command to persevere, I will protect you from the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world.

We had been faithful to our promise to pray.  We had persevered.  And God blessed us by allowing us to see things that we had overlooked before.

I had thought about taking a video of the moving water after we finished our walk.  At the time I had not realized that it was the result of the fire engine being washed.  By the time we returned to that spot, the rushing water was gone.  The only evidence left behind was the damp marking on the street and a slight trickle in the gutter.

We sat on a wall under a shade tree for a little while to consider all that we had seen.  Then the Lord reminded us of a vision that Marie had been seeing.  She had shared in our fellowship group that she had been shown what looked like a bulging membrane.  Some type of pressure was pushing against it.  When she saw it again, the membrane was getting thinner.  We had determined some time ago that it represented a sack of amniotic fluid.  We knew that we were getting close to a birth in the spiritual realm.

We realized then that the water we had seen at the start of our walk signified the birth.  When a child is born, the membrane is ruptured, the waters gush out, and then it becomes a trickle.  This was where God's perfect timing came in.  If we had started our walk any sooner or any later we would have missed the message.

Finally, we glanced up at a pole on the sidewalk.  There were two signs on it.  One signified "No U-Turns"  the other said "No Coasting Vehicles."

A vehicle is symbolic of a ministry.  Too many ministries are just coasting along.  It is time to move forward in the power of the Holy Spirit.

No U-turns means no going back.  God is calling us forward.

That was not the end of what happened on October 5, 2020.

Dee, a member of our fellowship group who Skypes in from Tucson, had been impressed upon by the Lord to set aside October 5 as a day of prayer and fasting.  She did not know why and had not realized that it coincided with our First Monday Prayer.

She was led to go to a certain location in her community to pray.  As she shared with me she mentioned looking up at the trees and noticing the wind rustling the leaves in the treetops.  There was no wind down where she and her husband were sitting.  When she mentioned the wind in the treetops, two things came to mind.

A text that I had received earlier from a friend that said, "Are you hearing a sound in the wind?"

And second was the verse in 2 Samuel 5 that mentions the sound of the wind in the treetops.

I read 2 Samuel 5: 23-25 to Dee.

And again David asked the LORD what to do. "Do not attack them straight on," the LORD replied. "Instead, circle around behind and attack them near the poplar trees. When you hear a sound like marching feet in the tops of the poplar trees, be on the alert! That will be the signal that the LORD is moving ahead of you to strike down the Philistine army." So David did what the LORD commanded, and he struck down the Philistines all the way from Gibeon to Gezer.  2 Samuel 5:23-25 NLT

Dee said, Oh my!  When she had driven to the location where she was going to pray, she missed the turn and had to go around.  She circled around behind.  Afterwards there was the wind in the treetops.

We believe that the Lord is moving ahead of us in a mighty way.  He is moving the waters and those who don't step in will miss the blessing.

With the Lord's authority I say this: Live no longer as the unbelievers do, for they are hopelessly confused. Their minds are full of darkness; they wander far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against Him.  Ephesians 4:17-18 NLT

Don't use foul or abusive language.  Stop bickering.  Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. And do not bring sorrow to God's Holy Spirit by the way you live.

Remember, He has identified you as His own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.  Ephesians 4:29-32 NLT

Count the Cost

COUNT THE COST

A large crowd was following Jesus. He turned around and said to them,

"If you want to be My disciple, you must hate everyone else by comparison—your father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even your own life. Otherwise, you cannot be My disciple.  And if you do not carry your own cross and follow Me, you cannot be My disciple.

But don't begin until you count the cost."  Luke 14:25-28 NLT

Know that you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are My followers.  Matthew 24:9 NLT

Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you.  John 15:20 KJV

Be prepared.

THE WORKS: Morning Manna October 4

THE WORKS

Jesus (Yashua) raised the dead, opened blind eyes, cast out legions of demonic spirits.  (Matthew 9:18-26, Matthew 9:27-31, Mark 5:1-19).

Jesus traveled through all the towns and villages of that area, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And He healed every kind of disease and illness.  Matthew 9:35

Jesus says, "I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in Me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.  John 14:12 NLT

He said to His disciples, "The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask Him to send more workers into His fields."  Matthew 9:37-38 NLT

HIS WORD: Morning Manna October 3

THE POWER OF HIS WORD

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow.

It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before His eyes, and He is the One to whom we are accountable.  Hebrews 4:12-13

"The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with My word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it."  Isaiah 55:10-11

The Sovereign LORD has given us His words of wisdom, so that we know how to comfort the weary. Morning by morning He will waken us and open our understanding to His will.  Isaiah 50:4

CONFESSION: Morning Manna October 2

THE POWER OF CONFESSION

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.  James 5:16 NLT

Once sin is confessed we break its hold over us.  Then we have restored fellowship with God and others.  The key is to confess.

"But don't be afraid of those who threaten you. For the time is coming when everything that is covered will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all.  Matthew 10:26 NLT

Cleanse thou me from secret faults (sins).  Psalms 19:12 KJV

RETURN: Morning Manna October 1

RETURN

The LORD said, "These people are stubborn rebels who refuse to pay attention to the LORD's instructions. They tell the seers, "Stop seeing visions!" They tell the prophets, "Don't tell us what is right. Tell us nice things. Tell us lies. Forget all this gloom. Get off your narrow path. Stop telling us about your 'Holy One of Israel.'"  Isaiah 30:9-11

This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: "Only in returning to Me and resting in Me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength. But you would have none of it.  Isaiah 30:15 NLT

So the LORD must wait for you to come to Him so He can show you His love and compassion. For the LORD is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for His help.  Isaiah 30:18 NLT

Stand in the gap for the rebels who have wandered away.  Pray that the LORD will bless them with a spirit of repentance.  Let them know that the LORD is waiting.

It is time to return.
