THE FEAR OF THE LORD: Morning Manna December 26

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.  Proverbs 9:10 KJV

Who are those who fear the LORD? He will show them the path they should choose. They will live in prosperity, and their children will inherit the land. The LORD is a friend to those who fear Him. He teaches them His covenant.  Psalms 25:12-14 NLT

How great is the goodness You have stored up for those who fear You. You lavish it on those who come to You for protection, blessing them before the watching world. You hide them in the shelter of Your presence, safe from those who conspire against them. You shelter them in Your presence, far from accusing tongues.  Psalms 31:19-20 NLT

In that day He will be your sure foundation, providing a rich store of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of the LORD will be your treasure.  Isaiah 33:6 NLT

If Abraham's good deeds had made him acceptable to God, He would have had something to boast about. But that was not God's way. For the Scriptures tell us, "Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith."

When people work, their wages are not a gift, but something they have earned. But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners.  Romans 4:2-5

Without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.  Hebrews 11:6

GIVE THANKS: Morning Manna December 23

 

As Jesus entered a village, ten lepers stood at a distance, crying out, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!" 

He looked at them and said, "Go show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were cleansed of their leprosy. 

One of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back to Jesus, shouting, "Praise God!" He fell to the ground at Jesus' feet, thanking Him for what He had done. 

Jesus asked, "Didn't I heal ten men? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?"  Luke 17:11-18

Never forget the blessings, the healings and the answered prayers.  Praise the One who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

RESCUED: Morning Manna December 22

"The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. He is my refuge, my savior, the One who saves me from violence. I called on the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and He saved me from my enemies.  2 Samuel 22:2-4

"He reached down from heaven and rescued me; He drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemies, from those who hated me and were too strong for me. They attacked me at a moment when I was in distress, but the LORD supported me. He led me to a place of safety; He rescued me because He delights in me.  2 Samuel 22:17-20

BITTERNESS: Morning Manna December 21

Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord. Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.  Hebrews 12:14-15

Bitterness allows in unforgiveness.  And if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.  Matthew 6:15 

Bitterness and unforgiveness leads to the desire to retaliate.  But we must remember "Vengeance is mine; I will repay," saith the Lord.  Romans 12:19

Bitterness, unforgiveness and the desire to retaliate allow anger and hatred to manifest.

Even now the ax of God's judgment is poised, ready to sever the roots of the trees. Yes, every tree that does not produce good fruit will be chopped down and thrown into the fire.  Matthew 3:10

Sever any root of bitterness before it takes hold and produces the fruit of unforgiveness, anger and hatred.

OPEN YOUR EYES: Morning Manna December 20

The king of Aram (Syria) was at war against Israel.  But every time he went into battle, Israel knew his plan of attack because God would reveal it to the prophet Elisha.

So one night the king of Aram (Syria) sent a great army with many chariots and horses to surround the city. When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere.

"Oh, sir, what will we do now?" the young man cried to Elisha. 

"Don't be afraid!" Elisha told him. "For there are more on our side than on theirs!" 

Then Elisha prayed, "O LORD, open his eyes and let him see!" The LORD opened the young man's eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire.  2 Kings 6:14-17

May the LORD open your eyes to the heavenly army that is fighting on our side.

Two blind men followed Jesus (Yashua), crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. Jesus asked them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They said, "Yes, Lord." Then He touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith be it unto you." And their eyes were opened.  Matthew 9:27-30

A father brought his son, possessed with an unclean spirit, to Jesus. Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes." And immediately the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help my unbelief.  Mark 9:23-24

Scripture tells us that 'faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.'  Romans 10:17 KJV

As you read and listen to the Word of God, your faith will grow.

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You! Trust in the LORD always, for the LORD GOD is the eternal Rock.  Isaiah 26:3-4 NLT

LORD, You will grant us peace; all we have accomplished is really from You. O LORD our God, others have ruled us, but You alone are the One we worship.  Isaiah 26:12-13 NLT

Jesus (Yashua) said, "I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid."  John 14:27 NLT

Morning Manna December 16

"O LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like You in all of heaven above or on the earth below. You keep Your covenant and show unfailing love to all who walk before You in wholehearted devotion.  1 Kings 8:23 NLT

"If there is a famine in the land or a plague or crop disease or attacks of locusts or caterpillars, or if Your people's enemies are in the land besieging their towns—whatever disaster or disease there is— and if Your people Israel pray about their troubles, raising their hands toward this Temple, then hear from heaven where You live, and forgive. 1 Kings 8:37-39 NLT

The same God who listened to the prayers of Israel hears and answers our prayers.  "He is the God who made the world and everything in it. Since He is Lord of heaven and earth, He doesn't live in man-made temples.  Acts 17:24 NLT

Humble yourself.  Pray and seek His face.  Turn from your wicked ways and He will hear from heaven and will forgive your sins and heal the land.  2 Chronicles 7:14 NLT

Jesus (Yashua) says, "Anyone who listens to My teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. 

Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won't collapse because it is built on bedrock (Jesus Christ). 

But anyone who hears My teaching and doesn't obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. 

When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash."  Matthew 7:24-27 NLT

Let all that I am praise the LORD; with my whole heart, I will praise His holy name. Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things He does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.  Psalms 103:1-3 NLT

The LORD says: "Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the LORD.  Jeremiah 17:5 NLT

"But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water (Word). Such trees are not bothered by the heat (trials and testings) or worried by long months of drought (lack). Their leaves stay green (life), and they never stop producing fruit.  Jeremiah 17:7-8 NLT

God used Gideon and an army of 300 to totally scatter and defeat a vast multitude of Midianites (contention, strife).  Judges 7

King Asa of Judah had 580,000 men.  Zerah the Ethiopian came against him with a million troops.  

Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee. So the LORD smote the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled.  2 Chronicles 14:8-12 KJV

THE MARK (CHARACTER) OF THE BEAST: Morning Manna December 12

 

Jesus Christ (Yashua) is The Way, The Truth and The Life.  John 14:6 NLT

The devil hates Truth. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.  John 8:44 NLT

Those who refuse to believe the Truth will believe the lies.  2 Thessalonians 2:8-12

Our courts oppose the righteous, and justice is nowhere to be found. Truth stumbles in the streets, and honesty has been outlawed. Yes, truth is gone, and anyone who renounces evil is attacked. Isaiah 59:14-15 NLT

In Revelation 13:17 we read that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark (his character of lies and deceit), or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.  

We are told to buy (get) the truth, and sell it not.  Proverbs 23:23 KJV

We know that we are children of God and that the world around us (the news media, social media and fact checkers) is under the control of the evil one.  1 John 5:19 NLT

Jesus says, "So pay attention to how you hear. To those who listen to My teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what they think they understand will be taken away from them."  Luke 8:18 NLT

YOUR PROTECTIVE ARMOR: Morning Manna December 11

 

The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. 

Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. 

But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.  Romans 13:12-14 KJV

Jesus Christ is our armor of light.

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.  Galatians 3:27 KJV

Every piece of armor mentioned in Ephesians 6:13-17 can be seen as a representation of some aspect of the character of Christ.  It is in appropriating His character that you will be able to stand in any situation.

Put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ.

CONFIDENCE: Morning Manna December 10

 

We have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, so let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for He faced all of the same testings we do, yet He did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.  Hebrews 4:14-16 NLT

Yahshua (Jesus Christ) is not only our great High Priest, He is also the LORD and Commander of Heaven's Armies.  As we enter into battle He goes before us.  We follow because we know Him and trust Him.

We love him, because he first loved us.  1 John 4:19 KJV

He proved that love by dying for us while we were yet sinners.  Romans 5:8

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.  John 15:13 KJV

A strong army must have confidence in its leadership.  Our Commander in Chief, Jesus Christ, has proved His love for the troops.  And as God, He is all-powerful, all knowing and ever present.  He cannot lose.

PREPARE FOR BATTLE: Morning Manna December 9

 

A soldier who has never tried on his armor, lifted his weapon or studied his opponent is doomed to suffer defeat when he enters the battle arena.

Are you ready for the battle that is fast approaching?  Have you put on your armor, loaded your weapon and learned the tactics of your enemy?

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Ephesians 6:12 KJV

The battle is spiritual and we must have a Christ centered foundation or we will be failures in spiritual warfare.

Begin with Chapter 1 of Ephesians.  Know who you are and what it means to be adopted into the family of God. 

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes.  Ephesians 1:3-4 NLT

I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe Him. Ephesians 1:19 NLT

AUTHORITY AND POWER: Morning Manna December 8

Amazed, the people exclaimed (about Jesus), "What authority and power this man's words possess! Even evil spirits obey Him, and they flee at His command!"  Luke 4:36 NLT

Jesus called together His twelve disciples and gave them power and authority to cast out all demons and to heal all diseases. Then He sent them out to tell everyone about the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick.  Luke 9:1-2 NLT

Never forget that the Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. Romans 8:11 NLT

Many followers of Christ have been held as prisoners of doubt and fear for so long that they have forgotten their position in Him.  It is time to be reminded of that authority.  Time to step out in confident faith.

I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe Him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms.  Ephesians 1:19-20 NLT

And this power is in you.

Jesus (Yashua) said, "I will not speak with you much longer for the prince of this world is coming.  He has no hold on me." John 14:30 NIV  "He has nothing in me."

Let our prayer be the one of the Psalmist:  Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends You, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.  Psalms 139:23-24 NLT

In that way, we too will be able to say, "The enemy has come and he has no hold on me."  We will walk as overcomers and claim the victory over him.

Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.

GOD STEPS IN: Morning Manna November 28

Listen! The LORD's arm is not too weak to save you, nor is His ear too deaf to hear you call. It's your sins that have cut you off from God.  Isaiah 59:1-2 NLT

We have turned our backs on our God. 

We know how unfair and oppressive we have been, carefully planning our deceitful lies. Our courts oppose the righteous, and justice is nowhere to be found. Truth stumbles in the streets, and honesty has been outlawed.  

Yes, truth is gone, and anyone who renounces evil is attacked. The LORD looked and was displeased to find there was no justice. He was amazed to see that no one intervened to help the oppressed. So He Himself stepped in to save them with His strong arm, and His justice sustained Him.  

He will repay His enemies for their evil deeds.  

In the west (America), people will respect the name of the LORD.  Isaiah 59:13-19 NLT

The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. 

The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. 

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD (YAHWEH); and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.  Psalms 33:10-12 KJV

The LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance. But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it. 

King David asked, "Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?"  Psalms 94:14-16 KJV

The answer is the LORD our God!

BELIEVE THE PROPHETS: Morning Manna November 25

During the reign of Jehoshaphat, enemy armies gathered against Judah to drive the nation out of their God-given land and to destroy them completely.

Jahaziel, a prophet, rose up saying, "Listen!  The Lord says do not be afraid.  Don't be discouraged by this mighty army.  The battle is not yours, but God's.  March out against them.  You won't even need to fight.  Stand still and watch the Lord's victory.

Don't be afraid or discouraged.  The Lord is with you!"

Judah went to Tekoa (that name means trump or trumpet in Hebrew).  The King told the people, "Believe in the Lord your God and you will be able to stand firm.  Believe in His prophets and you will succeed."

Singers went first, praising God loudly.  The victory was complete.  2 Chronicles 20:1-30

God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  Hebrews 13:8 NLT

Why?

Because as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.  Proverbs 23:7 KJV

The wicked are trapped by their own words, but the godly escape such trouble.  Proverbs 12:13 NLT

An honest witness tells the truth; a false witness tells lies. Some people make cutting remarks, but the words of the wise bring healing. Truthful words stand the test of time, but lies are soon exposed.  Proverbs 12:17-19 NLT

The godly are rescued from trouble, and it falls on the wicked instead.  Proverbs 11:8 NLT

KEEP FOCUSED: Morning Manna November 22

For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in His steps. 

He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone. He did not retaliate when He was insulted, nor threaten revenge when He suffered. 

He left His case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly. 

He personally carried our sins in His body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. 

By His wounds you are healed. 

Once you were like sheep who wandered away. But now you have turned to your Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls.  1 Peter 2:21-25 NLT

Your wandering days are over.

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.  Matthew 5:10-12 KJV

Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

Evil people and impostors will flourish. They will deceive others and will themselves be deceived. But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you.  2 Timothy 3:12-14 NLT

Enthusiasm without knowledge is no good; haste makes mistakes. People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then are angry at the LORD.  Proverbs 19:2-3 NLT

Plans go wrong for lack of advice; many godly advisers (those who are led by the Spirit) bring success.  Proverbs 15:22 NLT

If you listen to constructive criticism, you will be at home among the wise. If you reject discipline, you only harm yourself; but if you listen to correction, you grow in understanding. 

Fear of the LORD teaches wisdom; humility precedes honor.  Proverbs 15:31-33 NLT

The whole law can be summed up in this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." But if you are always biting and devouring one another, watch out! Beware of destroying one another. 

Let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other . . . Galatians 5:14-18 NLT

MY SOUL WAITS FOR GOD ALONE: Morning Manna November 16

I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken. 

So many enemies against one man—all of them trying to kill me. To them I'm just a broken-down wall or a tottering fence. They plan to topple me from my high position. They delight in telling lies about me. They praise me to my face but curse me in their hearts. 

Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me. 

O my people, trust in Him at all times. Pour out your heart to Him, for God is our refuge. 

God has spoken plainly, and I have heard it many times: Power, O God, belongs to You; unfailing love, O Lord, is Yours. Surely You repay all people according to what they have done.  Psalms 62:1-8,11,12 NLT

Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell you what He did for me. 

For I cried out to Him for help, praising Him as I spoke. 

If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. But God did listen! He paid attention to my prayer. 

Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer or withdraw His unfailing love from me.  Psalms 66:16-20 NLT

I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from Him.  Psalms 62:1 NLT

God is all in all.  His love is sufficient.

INTEGRITY: Morning Manna November 14

Jehoshaphat, whose name means "Yahweh is judge," was the king of Judah.  He lived in Jerusalem, but he went out among the people, traveling from Beersheba to the hill country of Ephraim, encouraging the people to return to the LORD, the God of their ancestors. 

He appointed judges throughout the nation in all the fortified towns, and he said to them, "Always think carefully before pronouncing judgment. Remember that you do not judge to please people but to please the LORD. 

He will be with you when you render the verdict in each case. Fear the LORD and judge with integrity, for the LORD our God does not tolerate perverted justice, partiality, or the taking of bribes."  2 Chronicles 19:4-7 NLT

He that is greedy brings grief to the whole family, but those who hate bribes will live.  Proverbs 15:27 NLT

LISTEN: Morning Manna November 13

I listen carefully to what Yahweh is saying, for He speaks peace to His faithful people. 

But let them not return to their foolish ways. 

Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, so our land will be filled with His glory. 

Unfailing love and truth have met together. Righteousness and peace have kissed! Truth springs up from the earth, and righteousness smiles down from heaven. 

Yes, the LORD pours down His blessings. Our land will yield its bountiful harvest. Righteousness goes as a herald before Him, preparing the way for His steps.  Psalms 85:8-13 NLT

LET GOD ARISE! Morning Manna November 12

Help, O LORD, for the godly are fast disappearing! The faithful have vanished from the earth! 

Neighbors lie to each other, speaking with flattering lips and deceitful hearts. May the LORD cut off their flattering lips and silence their boastful tongues. They say, "We will lie to our hearts' content. Our lips are our own—who can stop us?" 

The LORD replies, "I have seen violence done to the helpless, and I have heard the groans of the poor. Now I will rise up to rescue them, as they have longed for Me to do."

The LORD's promises are pure, like silver refined in a furnace, purified seven times over. Therefore, LORD, we know You will protect the oppressed, preserving them forever from this lying generation.  Psalms 12:1-8 NLT

WHERE IS BOASTING? Morning Manna November 11

As the Scriptures say, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and discard the intelligence of the intelligent." 

So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world's brilliant debaters? 

God has made the wisdom of this world look foolish. God in His wisdom saw to it that the world would never know Him through human wisdom.

Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God's weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength. 

Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world's eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you. Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. 

He chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important.  As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God. 

God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made Him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; He made us pure and holy, and He freed us from sin. Therefore, as the Scriptures say, "If you want to boast, boast only about the LORD."  1 Corinthians 1:19-31 NLT

PRAY: Morning Manna November 10

I am praying to You because I know You will answer, O God. Bend down and listen as I pray.  Psalms 17:6 NLT

I confessed all my sins to You and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, "I will confess my rebellion to the LORD." And You forgave me! All my guilt is gone.

Let all the godly pray to You while there is still time, that they may not drown in the floodwaters of judgment. You are my hiding place; You protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory.

The LORD says, "I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.

Many sorrows come to the wicked, but unfailing love surrounds those who trust the LORD. So rejoice in the LORD and be glad, all you who obey Him! Shout for joy, all you whose hearts are pure!  Psalms 32:5-11 NLT

GOD'S MIRACULOUS RESCUES: Morning Manna November 9

Gideon was told to rescue Israel from the Midianites (whose name means strife and contention).  Against overwhelming odds, Gideon's army won. (Judges chapters 6 & 7).

Elijah stood alone against 850 false prophets on Mt. Carmel.  God proved that one true voice will silence the multitude of lies.  (1 Kings chapter 18).

The entire Israelite army was cowering in fear before the giant Goliath, until one young man dared to face him down in the power of the Almighty God.

David replied to the giant, "You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of Heaven's Armies—the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.  1 Samuel 17:45 NLT

So David triumphed over the Philistine with only a sling and a stone, for he had no sword.  1 Samuel 17:50 NLT

That sling represents a sacrificial life because an animal had to die to produce the leather.  As believers today we have an greater arsenal than any of these other champions of the faith.  We can stand against our enemies on the basis of a sacrificial life, the Rock, who is Jesus Christ (Yashua) and with the two edged sword, which is the Word of God.

Stand on the Word and pray for the victory.

HOW DID WE GET HERE? Morning Manna November 8

After that generation died, another generation grew up who did not acknowledge the LORD or remember the mighty things He had done for Israel. 

The Israelites did evil in the LORD's sight. They abandoned the LORD, the God of their ancestors. They went after other gods, worshiping the gods of the people around them. 

This made the LORD burn with anger against Israel, so He handed them over to their enemies all around, and they were no longer able to resist them. Every time Israel went out to battle, the LORD fought against them, causing them to be defeated, just as He had warned. And the people were in great distress. 

Then the LORD raised up judges to rescue the Israelites from their attackers.  Yet Israel did not listen to the judges but prostituted themselves by worshiping other gods. 

How quickly they turned away from the path of their ancestors, who had walked in obedience to the LORD's commands.  Judges 2:10-17 NLT

Jesus (Yashua) says, "I have this complaint against you. You don't love Me or each other as you did at first!"  Revelation 2:4 NLT  Return to me.

These things happened to the Israelites as examples for us. They were written down to warn us who live at the end of the age.  1 Corinthians 10:11 NLT

REVEALED: Morning Manna November 7

There is a God in heaven who reveals secrets.  Daniel 2:28 NLT

Everything that is hidden will eventually be brought into the open, and every secret will be brought to light. Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand."  Mark 4:22-23 NLT

God watches how people live; He sees everything they do. No darkness is thick enough to hide the wicked from His eyes.  Job 34:21-22 NLT

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.  Galatians 6:7-8 KJV

Don't be deceived.  God sees everything.

GOD LAUGHS: Morning Manna November 6

Why are the nations (unbelievers) so angry? Why do they waste their time with futile plans? The kings of the earth prepare for battle; the rulers plot together against the LORD and against His anointed one. "Let us break their chains," they cry, "and free ourselves from slavery to God." But the One who rules in heaven laughs. The Lord scoffs at them.  Psalms 2:1-4 NLT

The wicked plot against the godly; they snarl at them in defiance. But the Lord just laughs, for He sees their day of judgment coming.  Psalms 37:12-13 NLT

Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.  Isaiah 26:20 KJV

Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them. 

The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad. Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.  Psalms 126:2-5 KJV

STAND FIRM AND BE STILL: Morning Manna November 5

Put on every piece of God's armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God's righteousness.  Ephesians 6:13-14 NLT

Do not be afraid.  Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today.  The Egyptians (those who enslaved you) whom you see today you will never see again.  The LORD will fight for you, you need only to be still.  Exodus 14:13,14 NIV

"Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world."  Psalms 46:10 NLT

HOPE: Morning Manna November 4

Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God's glory. 

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 

And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love.  Romans 5:2-5 NLT

For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.  Romans 8:24-25 KJV

Blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. Jeremiah 17:7 NLT

THE POWER OF WORDS: Morning Manna November 3

The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.  Proverbs 18:21 NLT

Jesus said, "The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.  John 6:63 KJV

What are we speaking to those around us?  Do our words exalt us? or Jesus Christ?  

Jesus' words brought life.

EXALT HIM: Morning Manna November 2

You, O LORD, are supreme over all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods. 

You who love the LORD, hate evil! 

He protects the lives of His godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked. Light shines on the godly, and joy on those whose hearts are right. 

May all who are godly rejoice in the LORD and praise His holy name!  Psalms 97:9-12 NLT

LEADERS: Morning Manna November 1

I urge you to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings (presidents) and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.  1 Timothy 2:1-2 NLT

Father, we pray for wisdom and discernment as we choose leaders from among us.

Choose some well-respected men who are known for their wisdom and understanding, and I will appoint them as your leaders.'  Deuteronomy 1:13 NLT

As we choose these men and women, we ask that You would be the final authority.  That You would give us leaders who desire to walk in truth and holiness.  Turn our nation back to You.

"The king's heart is like a stream of water directed by the LORD; He guides it wherever He pleases."  Proverbs 21:1 NLT

Guide them.

O God, only by Your power can we push back our enemies; only in Your name can we trample our foes. I do not trust in my bow; I do not count on my sword to save me. You are the One who gives us victory over our enemies. Psalms 44:5-7 NLT

LORD, be merciful to us, for we have waited for You. Be our strong arm each day and our salvation in times of trouble. The enemy runs at the sound of Your voice. When You stand up, the nations flee!  Isaiah 33:2-3 NLT

The LORD is my strength and my song; He has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise Him—my father's God, and I will exalt Him! The LORD is a warrior; Yahweh is His name!  Exodus 15:2-3 NLT

A CHANGED LIFE: Morning Manna October 30

Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.  Romans 12:2 NLT

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.  2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus (Yashua):  Philippians 2:5 KJV

Our thoughts, actions and priorities change as we put on the mind of Christ.

THE LIGHT: Morning Manna October 29

Jesus (Yashua) spoke to the people once more and said, "I am the light of the world. If you follow Me, you won't have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life."  John 8:12 NLT

When I am raised to life again, you will know that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you.  John 14:20 NLT

"You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket.  Matthew 5:14 NLT

We are lights.  We are to bring light (hope) to a world full of darkness (despair).  We are to share the Light of the World (Yashua) that shines in us.

Don't grow dim.

OUR POSITION IN CHRIST: Morning Manna October 28

Paul's prayer: I ask God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. 

I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope He has given to those He has called.

I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe Him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms.  Ephesians 1:17-20 NLT

God raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.  Ephesians 2:6 NLT

Only believe.  We sit with Him.  We need to step out with the same authority.

Why?

If Christ be in us (Colossians 1:27) His authority flows through us.  

Act on it.

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:  1 Peter 4:12 KJV

Don't be afraid of what you are about to suffer. The devil will throw some of you into prison to test you. You will suffer for ten days. But if you remain faithful even when facing death, I will give you the crown of life.  Revelation 2:10 NLT

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in Me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world."  John 16:33 NLT

"If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won't he leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that didn't wander away! In the same way, it is not My heavenly Father's will that even one of these little ones should perish."  Matthew 18:12-14 NLT

O LORD, I have longed for Your rescue, and Your instructions are my delight. Let me live so I can praise You, and may Your regulations help me. I have wandered away like a lost sheep; come and find me, for I have not forgotten Your commands.  Psalms 119:174-176 NLT

Always remember, you are precious to the LORD.

RESCUED: Morning Manna October 25

The LORD reached down from heaven and rescued me; He drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemies, from those who hated me and were too strong for me. 

They attacked me at a moment when I was in distress, but the LORD supported me. He led me to a place of safety; He rescued me because He delights in me. The LORD rewarded me for doing right; He restored me because of my innocence.  Psalms 18:16-20 NLT

I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.  Psalms 89:1 KJV

Thank you LORD, because You promise to never leave me or forsake me.  Hebrews 13:5

GODLINESS: Morning Manna October 24

Finally, all of you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude. Don't repay evil for evil. Don't retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and He will bless you for it.  1 Peter 3:8-9 NLT

The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and His ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns His face against those who do evil."  1 Peter 3:12 NLT

Let's keep God's eyes upon us.  Search His Word to know what is right.  Walk in agreement.

OUR PLANS OR GOD'S PLANS: Morning Manna October 23

Look here, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit." 

How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it's here a little while, then it's gone. 

What you ought to say is, "If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that." 

Otherwise you are boasting about your own plans, and all such boasting is evil.  James 4:13-16 NLT

I will boast only in the LORD.  Psalms 34:2a NLT

And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus/Yashua, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.  Colossians 3:17 NLT

REST: Morning Manna October 22

 

Then Jesus said, "Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you. Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light."  Matthew 11:28-30 NLT

I will bless the LORD who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me. I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for He is right beside me. No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice. My body rests in safety.  Psalms 16:7-9 NLT
