The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. (Isa 35:1 KJV)
For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground . . . (Isa 44:3 KJV)

RETURN: Morning Manna September 26

RETURN

Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem thirty-one years.  2 Kings 22:1

He ordered the restoration of the temple.  During the work of repairing the temple, the Book of the Law was discovered.  It had been lost and the laws and requirements of God had not been followed or enforced for many years.

Shaphan told the king, "Hilkiah the priest has given me a scroll." So Shaphan read it to the king. When the king heard what was written in the Book of the Law, he tore his clothes in despair.  2 Kings 22:10-11

"Go to the Temple and speak to the LORD for me and for the people and for all Judah. Inquire about the words written in this scroll that has been found. For the LORD's great anger is burning against us because our ancestors have not obeyed the words in this scroll. We have not been doing everything it says we must do."  2 Kings 22:13

The Law of God has been forgotten or ignored in America for many years.  And the LORD's great anger is burning against us, just as it did against the nation of Judah.

Pray that the LORD will bless our nation with a spirit of repentance.  It is time to return to holiness.

But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. For the Scriptures say, "You must be holy because I am holy."  1 Peter 1:15-16
