The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous! Psalms 118:15 KJV
September 16, 2023, was Rosh Hashanna – the beginning of the new year on the Hebrew calendar. The trumpet was blown at the sighting of the new moon for the festival known as Yom Teruah – the Feast of Trumpets.
We are now in the midst of the Ten Days of Awe which will conclude with the Day of Atonement on September 25. It is a time of introspection and repentance.
This will be followed by the seven day festival of the Feast of Tabernacles (also known as the Feast of Booths or Sukkot). It is a time of celebration, remembering all that the LORD has done and looking forward to what is to come. There will be rejoicing as we fellowship and share, knowing that this is an appointed time that was scheduled by Our God, the Creator of the Universe.
And He desires to spend time with us!
“Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, These are the appointed feasts of the LORD that you shall proclaim as holy convocations (dress rehearsals); they are my appointed feasts (appointments).” Leviticus 23:2 ESV
On Friday, September 29, we will finish setting up and enjoy an evening of Praise, Worship and Fellowship around the fire. The first day of Tabernacles this year is on Saturday, September 30. All are welcome to join. If you would like to camp out, there is plenty of room.
